Healthy Snack Tip: Trail Mix! Mix it up yourself for a healthier snack. A simple mix would be 1 cup of dried fruit that contains no added sugar, 1 cup of raw nuts unsalted or processed and 1/4 of seeds. Optional to add in a whole grain or sweet.
My go to trail mix is 1/2 cup of dried blueberries, 1/2 cup of dried pineapple, 1/2 cup of almonds, 1/2 cup of walnuts, 1/4 cup of flax-seed. To sweeten it up I throw in just a little bit of yogurt covered cranberry. It's a great snack to have ready on the go!
